A vibrant culture is creeping up from the cracks in the concrete. It is local, organic, wild-crafted. It’s called Urban Meadow. The Urban Meadow was discovered, or shall we say “uncovered” by Toronto musicians Michael Louis Johnson and Bob Stevenson. The music is mostly acoustic in nature, with strong elements of improvisation. The venues we play and the places we dwell are generally focused around the western part of downtown Toronto. What we affectionately call “the Meadow” refers to the area from Kensington Market out to Parkdale, with a focal point at Ossington & Dundas.
